What is FIRST?
FIRST stands for Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. It helps younger generations to engage in the STEM world by providing many engineering, science, math, and tech opportunities. In fact 81% of FIRST alumni have careers in STEM. It grows important skills like teamwork, confidence, determination, and problem solving.
There are four levels of FIRST competition:
- First Lego League Discover (Grades PreK-1)
- First Lego League Explore (Grades 2-4)
- First Lego League Challenge(Grades 4-8)
- First Tech Challenge (Grades 7-12)
- First Robotics Challenge (Grades 9-12)
